Their Lives, Our Voices gathers activists from around the country for an inclusive, high-quality, hands-on conference focused on empowering advocates in their efforts to help farmed animals. This event is accessible to all animal advocates, showcasing diverse topics and perspectives within our movement. Networking and attendee participation are vital to TLOV's success, so please come and help make our third annual TLOV conference an exceptional event.
TLOV is hosted by Compassionate Action for Animals.
The conference starts in the evening of Friday, June 11, and continues through Sunday, June 13. The conference venue is the Hubert H. Humphrey Conference Center in Minneapolis, MN.
More information about the conference. Read what attendees said about TLOV 2008 and 2009.
Our Call for Speakers is live on the site, and we are accepting submissions. The call is open until midnight on March 26.
This year, we are accepting proposal for half or full day classes to be held on Friday, as well as our usual shorter format talks. These classes will be available for an additional fee to attendees, and the fee will be determined by the speaker. This is a great way to offset the cost of travel and attendance. We hope that these classes will provide practical skills training for attendees who are interested in becoming better activists.
We've just confirmed Carol Adams as one our keynote speakers, and we're very excited to have her join us at TLOV this year!
We've also confirmed several more speakers, including local activists Mary Britton Clouse of Chicken Run Riscue and Christine Coughlin of Minnesota Voters for Animal Protection.
We have five confirmed speakers so far, including Erica Meier, Norm Phelps, and Paul Shapiro!
Stay tuned for more speakers soon.
