Duration: 45 minutes
Target audience: Any
This talk will discuss effective ways to spread information to college and high-school aged people who are the most open age group for the message of animal rights and veganism. By being a good advocate for animals, you will be able to spare more animals from suffering in a few minutes of activism than you will be being vegan yourself for your entire lifetime.
The talk will focus on Vegan Outreach's Adopt a College program and how people can get involved. During the Fall of 2008, VO paid leafleters and volunteers gave booklets on factory farming to 657,800 students at 684 schools in every state of the U.S. and in many Canadian provinces. The talk will also cover leafleting at concerts and other non-college venues. A quick primer on the laws regarding leafleting will be covered.
