Sleep, Work, Eat, Volunteer. That's the rhythm many Americans follow every day. From California to New Jersey, many people (animal advocates included!) live their lives in an almost automaton fashion. Constantly thinking about what happened in the past and what will happen in the future, the present moments of a person's life become regulated to repetitive actions that may not be as meaningful as they could be. When this happens, what do the goals and aspirations of animal advocates really amount to? Does the drive to help animals diminish or does the goal become unclear? When it does, what can we do to change it in a positive manner?

Using the skills of mindfulness and purpose, animal advocates can learn methods to become the super volunteer - a person who breaks free of the chains of the future and past, and lives with a sense of purpose in the now!
