Exercise and Nutrition

Phil will give a basic talk about vegetarian/vegan nutrition as it relates to exercise and fitness. Topics for discussion include carbohydrates and the glycemic index, blood sugar and how it relates to the body putting on or burning off fat. We'll also have an open session at the end for anyone with personal questions about strength training or fitness programs in general. Phil Martens (JD) is a fitness writer, fitness inventor and founder and fitness director of 501FIT in downtown Minneapolis (www.501fit.com). He is new to animal activism and has been a writer for CAA for just under a year.
